🏀 Mukuna and Grill receive All-MIAA honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State Men's Basketball had two individuals receive MIAA postseason honors for the 2025-26 season. Dan Mukuna was named to the All-MIAA First Team and was also named to the MIAA All-Defensive Team. Kyle Grill received an All-MIAA Honorable Mention selection for the second-straight season.

Mukuna has been enjoying a breakout season in 2025-26, leading the Tigers at 17.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Mukuna produced six double-doubles in points and rebounds during the regular season and scored in double figures in 23 of 28 games. He scored at least 20 points in a game 11 times and produced season highs in points (34) and rebounds (15) in a win at South Dakota Mines early in the season. He was named the MIAA Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week once during the regular season.

Mukuna was also named to the MIAA All-Defensive Team, giving FHSU a member of the five-man team for the fifth-straight year, joining Shaun Riley (2024-25), Kaleb Hammeke (2024-25), and Bjarni Jonsson (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24) in the five-year streak. Mukuna has helped the Tigers rank second in the MIAA and among the top-10 nationally in scoring defense (63.1 ppg) and field goal percentage defense (.397) in the regular season. He ranks sixth in the MIAA in blocks with 33, and he ranks third in the conference in rebounding

Grill had another steady season of production for the Tigers to earn an honorable mention pick for a second-straight year. He averaged 13.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in the regular season. Grill scored in double figures 19 times during the regular season and produced a pair of double-figure performances in rebounds. His season high in points is 22, reached twice, and 11 was his high in rebounds for the regular season.
