Donna Kay Bennett, 71, of Colby, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at
Salina Regional Health Center. She was born May 24, 1949, in Colby, to
Dean and Donna Belle (Wade) Farmer. Donna had worked as a drug and
alcohol counselor and was a financial adviser for years, before
retiring. She was a devoted mother and caregiver to her family.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Bennett and grandson Abel Hale.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Tisha) Short, Abilene, KS, Angela
Bennett, Colby, KS and Kayla Bennett, Brewster, KS; brothers, Ray
(Debbie) Farmer, Salina, KS and Ron (Pam) Farmer, AZ; and 11
grandchildren, Bailey, Brett, Benjamin and Braden Short, Avery Bennett,
Aiden Casper, Boston and Jaden Tubbs, Karly K. and Grace L. Meyer and
Kyrca White.
Visitation is 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Baalmann
Mortuary, Colby, KS with a family burial at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February
1, 2021, at the Menlo Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at
