Hays BOE set to issue temporary bonds for school building project

The Hays school board will take the first step toward implementing its $143.5 million bond project at a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Rockwell Administration Center.

The board is set to consider a resolution issuing $2 million in temporary bonds to be used for the project. The bonds will mature in December of this year.

The school bond passed Tuesday night.

The board will also consider an application for $354,000 in emergency connectivity funds to pay for 800 new iPad and cases.

The board will also consider the purchase of instructional materials totaling more than $51,000.

The board will again discuss student fees. A chart containing the proposed fees and previous fees is below.
