
Neta Joy Pletcher was born to Marvin George Pletcher and Mona Evelyn
Allen on October 7, 1943, and passed away on February 27, 2022, at the
age of 78 years.
Neta was born in Portis, Kansas, and lived most of her life in
Lebanon, Kansas. She grew up on a farm with her parents and brother,
Norman, where she helped her mother with the house. Neta’s mother, Mona,
home schooled her during her high school years. In 1967, she moved to
town with her parents.
Neta had several hobbies throughout her life, including collecting
dolls from around the world, doing beautiful cross stitch embroidery
which won ribbons at county fairs, many other crafts and playing the
accordion. Neta also loved cats.
She moved to Smith Center Health & Rehab after her parents passed away in 2005.
Neta is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Mona Pletcher;
brother, Norman Pletcher; grandmother, Etta Shaffer; aunt and uncle Eula
and John Kattenberg.
Those that celebrate her life are her sister-in-law, Charlotte
Pletcher, nieces and nephew, Cheryl (Pletcher) Jensen and husband (David
Jensen), Colleen (Pletcher) Girard and husband (Bob Girard), Lester
Pletcher, Betty (Pletcher) Corona and husband (Jose Corona), cousins
Wayne Kattenberg, Dwayne Kattenberg, Jim Kattenberg, and Alice
(Kattenberg) Grittman.
