The Ellis County Health Department on Monday announced 10 new positive cases of coronavirus in the county since Friday.
There are now 34 active cases in Ellis County, with 87 total cases since reporting began, including one death related to COVID-19.
The department said the new cases are under investigation, and noted that a third of the cases in Ellis County are familial contacts of one another who reside in the same home.
"If you reside with a positive case, you must be diligent in ensuring strict isolation," Monday's news release said.
