๐Ÿˆ Hays rolls to homecoming win over Dodge City

HAYS - Hays High hosted Dodge City for their homecoming game on Friday night.

The Indians were never threatened, scoring on six of their seven first half possessions. Malik Bah scored on the third play of the game, a 74 yard touchdown run. Kyrese Groen hit Keamonie Archie on the next two scores. The first catch scored six points from 18 yards out. The second catch came after the Indians' only punt of the first half. 

Ben Pfeifer forced a fumble one play later that was recovered by Wyatt Waddell. Groen found Archie on a four yard completion six plays later.

Bah scored the next three touchdowns. Two touchdown rushes sandwiched a touchdown catch. He would score on runs of two yards and 28 yards. The touchdown pass from Groen netted 31 yards.

During the three touchdown stretch by Bah, Waddell forced a fumble on a kickoff that was recovered by Adin Flock.

Hays led 41-0 at halftime.

Highlights

Hays High played down onto the depth chart for the second half. The Red Demons scored their lone touchdown on a two yard Chancer Kerr touchdown.

Bah finished the night with 171 rushing yards, nine under season average, and three touchdowns. Groen passed for 95 yards on 7 of 7 attempts and three touchdowns.

Hays improves to 5-1 on the year and is 3-0 in conference play. Dodge City falls to 3-3, 1-2.

The Indians stay home next week to host Liberal in an attempt to sweep the Western Athletic Conference title.
