⛳ Monarchs in third place at 3-2-1A state, Hipp records ace

HESSTON - The TMP-Marian Monarchs girls' golf team sits in third place after Monday's first round of the 3-2-1A State Golf Tournament at the Hesston Golf Course. The Monarchs shot a 392 and sit 35 strokes back of Colby and Pittsburg-Colgan who share the lead after day one.Caney Valley is in fourth place, five shots behind the Monarchs.

Monarch sophomore Ashley Hipp is in a three-way tie for ninth place after shooting a 92 which was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the par three 8th.

Wichita Collegiate freshman Margaret Ulrich is in first place after a five-over-par 76. She is one shot ahead of Colgan's Alie Scripsick and Colby's Anna Starbuck.

Plainville junior Corbyn Marquess sits alone in fifth after shooting an 86.

Round two play begins Tuesday morning.
