Phillipsburg resident Edna Lou Riemann passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Edna was born on December 5, 1934, in Norton County, Kansas, to Edward and Adeline (Hardi) Koester.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Adeline, brothers Harry and Ralph Koester, sisters Arlene Schick and Dorothy Schneider, and great grandson Bennett Lee Wolf.
Survivors include her sons Dale Riemann and wife Joni of McPherson, Kansas, and Roger Riemann of Eudora, Kansas, daughter Sharon Vogel of Phillipsburg, Kansas, sister Mary Billips and husband Don of Hill City, Kansas, sisters-in-law Iriene Koester of Logan, Kansas, Mary Ellen Posson of Norton, Kansas, and Ruth Ann Rogers of Osage City, Kansas, as well as eight grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial for Edna will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, 10:30 a.m., at the SS Philip and James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, with Father John Schmeidler officiating.
A committal service will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg.
A rosary service will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 6:00 p.m., at the SS Philip and James Catholic Church.
Edna will lie in-state on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Phillips County Hospital or SS Philip and James Catholic Church.
