Hays Post Sports
HAYS - The TMP-Marian girls’ golf team shot a 365 and placed second at the Hays High Lady Indian Invitational yesterday at Smoky Hill Country Club. The tournament was originally scheduled for August 31st but was postponed due to extreme heat.
Brynn Schoepf led the Monarchs with a 5-over-par 75 and finished third, two shots behind second place Brooke Savolt of Garden City and nine behind first place Naomi Koontz of Newton who shot a 4-under 66. TMP's Emma Wasinger shot an 87 and finished tied for ninth.
Hays High placed third, eight shots back of the Monarchs. Brooklyn Koerner led Hays with an 88 and tied for 12th, one shot ahead of teammate Kinsley Pfannenstiel who placed 14th.
