Goodland, KS resident Irma P. Flores, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland, KS.
Irma was born on April 29, 1959, in Beeville, TX to Calisto and Elena (Puentes) Flores. She was one of 14 children. She attended school in Mathis, TX.
In 1979, Irma moved from Mathis, TX to Kanorado, KS, and then moved to Goodland in 2006. She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Goodland and worked as a housekeeper at the hospital in Goodland.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Surviving family includes her husband George Sandoval of Goodland, her children Jose (Rebecca) Flores, Javier Flores, Rosa Sandoval and Juan Sandoval, all of Goodland, KS. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Yolanda (Jr) Hernandez and Sulema Salinas all of Dodge City, KS and Hortencia Rodriguez of Robstown, TX, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM MT at Koons-Russell Funeral Home in Goodland. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM MT at Koons-Russell Funeral Home in Goodland. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be designated to the Irma Flores Memorial Fund and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
