CLAREMORE, Okla. - Fort Hays State Women's Soccer fell at Rogers State 2-1 on Friday evening. The Tigers jumped ahead early, but the Hillcats equalized the score later in the first half and scored again midway through the second half to get past the Tigers. FHSU is now 5-7-3 overall, while RSU improved to 7-7-1. Both teams are now 2-6 in conference play.

FHSU took the lead in the 12th minute when Cailey Perkins headed in a corner kick from Amanda Rapaduski for her second score of the season. The Hillcats answered in the 31st minute with a score on a penalty kick. After returning from half tied 1-1, the Hillcats found the net once again in the 60th minute after a nice cross found its way inside the box and Vanessa Gonzalez sent the game-winner into the right side of the net.

The Tigers were able to put together a few potential scoring opportunities but fell short of finding an equalizer of their own. Despite being outscored, the Tigers edged the Hillcats in shots 16-13 and were able to put four of those on target.

The Tigers will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Tahlequah to take on Northeastern State at 1 p.m.
