TREGO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Saturday in Trego County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Chevy 1500 driven by Dean L. Fischer, 69, Ellis, was westbound on Interstate 70 at the 380 Avenue exit.. The driver lost control of the pickup. The vehicle entered the north ditch, struck an embankment and came to rest on its wheels with airbags deployed.
EMS transported Fischer to Hays Medical Center. He was properly restrained, according tot he KHP.
