NORTON — The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a bridge repair project on K-27 over the Smoky Hill River in Wallace County.
The bridge is located approximately 2.5 miles north of Sharon Springs.
Traffic is reduced to a single lane over the bridge with an 11-foot width restriction and directed by a temporary traffic signal.
KDOT expects project work to be complete in August, conditions permitting.
Reece Construction, of Salina, is the project’s primary contractor with a total contract cost of approximately $3 million.
