Huck was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1949-1952 serving in the Korean War as an airplane mechanic, stationed in Puerto Rico. He also served in the Army National Guard Reserve until 1958. Huck was always busy helping a friend or making something amazing in his woodworking trailer. He loved to read historical fiction and Louis L'Amour novels, fish with his wife, hunt, watch westerns, and garden. Most of all, he cherished his family.
