KDOT announces approved May bids

Kansas Department of Transportation 

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place on May 20 in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

District Three — Northwest

Smith ‑ 92 C‑5360‑01 – Bridge over East Beaver Creek, located 2.0 miles south and 3.0 miles west of Smith Center, bridge replacement, 0.5 mile, L & M Contractors Inc., Great Bend, Kansas, $783,676.75.

Statewide ‑ 106 KA‑7645‑01 – K‑247, K‑255, U.S. 183 and U.S. 183 Bypass in Ellis, Rooks, Russell, Rush and Trego counties, signing, Martin Outdoor Enterprises Inc., Pittsburg, Kansas, $269,131.20.

District Four — Southeast

Crawford ‑ 19 TE‑0575‑01 – East 20th Street, from North Rouse Street to North Home Avenue in Pittsburg, pedestrian and bicycle paths, 0.5 mile, Mission Construction Co. Inc., St. Paul, Kansas, $297,453.50.

Labette ‑ 166‑50 KA‑7241‑01 – U.S. 166, at five locations from 0.09 mile east of the Montgomery/Labette county line east to 0.40 mile west of Queens Road, guard fence, 15.8 miles, Martin Outdoor Enterprises Inc., Pittsburg, Kansas, $793,994.78.

District Five — South Central

Barber ‑ 4 C‑5344‑01 – Bridge over Spring Creek, located 2.8 miles east of Sharon, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, L & M Contractors Inc., Great Bend, Kansas, $366,484.40.

Rooks ‑ 24‑82 KA‑6451‑01 ‑ U.S. 24, pavement restoration on U.S. 24 from Elm Street to Pleasant Street in Stockton, grading and surfacing, 0.3 mile, Morgan Brothers Construction, La Crosse, Kansas, $1,931,460.66.

Hodgeman ‑ 42 C‑5351‑01 ‑ Bridge over Pawnee River located 5.0 miles north and 14.6 miles west of Jetmore, bridge replacement, 0.1 mile, L & M Contractors, Inc., Great Bend, Kansas, $688,412.50.
