Sharlett Jill Webster

Sharlett Jill Webster, age 60, of Hanston, KS died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at HaysMed - Hays.  She was born on March 18th, 1961 to Dewey and Lee Webster in Larned, KS.

Sharlett moved with her parents and brothers as a toddler to Tucson, Arizona where she started school and graduated from Flowing Wells Schools. She attended the University of Arizona and had a career as a Real Estate Agent. Sharlett made friends with her best friends in School and the “Wild Bunch” have supported each other through thick and thin throughout their lives.

Sharlett moved back to her hometown with her 2 younger children and started a new life in her maternal grandparents’ marital home. Sharlett cared for many of the people in the Hanston area that knew or took care of Sharlett as a child. She provided much love and hospice caregiving for some of Hanston’s most treasured residents.

Sharlett endured many medical issues and setbacks in the later part of her life. In spite of these issues there became a great need for one of her relatives who needed a good home and family to grow up with, this is when cousin Jay Morgan came to live with Sharlett and Marc at the age of 6 and is 14 at this writing.

A small private family service was held in Jetmore on October 7th. In lieu of flowers or a public service, the family has requested donations be made to the Hanston State Bank in Hanston, KS where a fund has been setup for Jay to access when he comes of age. A service will be held for the rest of the family in Tucson upon the return of her ashes.

Sharlett is survived by her 4 children Chelsey Bishop of Tucson; Zach Bishop of Manhattan, KS; Jacey Bishop of Portland, Oregon and Jay Morgan of Hanston, KS. Sharlett left behind her husband of 14 years, Marc Reed of Hanston, KS. Sharlett leaves her 4 brothers, Randy Webster of Tucson, AZ; Rocky Webster of Tucson, AZ; Darby Webster, of Pearce, AZ and Shannon Webster of Pearce, AZ.
