Hays High FFA team wins state Ritual Demonstration event, qualifying for nationals

MANHATTAN - The Ritual Team of the Hays High School Future Farmers of America chapter earned first place in the FFA Ritual Demonstration Leadership Development Event at the 95th Kansas FFA Convention, May 31-June 2, 2023, on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan. The team was recognized on stage during session one of convention and presented with a plaque, then presented the opening ceremony during session two of convention.

The Novice Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event is designed to introduce ninth grade FFA members to parliamentary procedure as they learn how to conduct efficient meetings and build their communication skills.

The Ritual team from the Moundridge FFA chapter placed second in the Ritual Demonstration LDE, while Neodesha FFA placed third, and Royal Valley FFA placed fourth.

The Hays FFA Ritual Team will represent Kansas at the 2023 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Ritual demonstration award is sponsored by the Kansas FFA Foundation.
