Grace Maxine (Pugh) Mahaffey, 80, of Colby, died Sunday, July 26, 2020, 
at Prairie Senior Living Complex, Colby. She was born January 22, 1940, 
in Stratton, CO, to Freddie and Alta (Miles) Pugh. Grace graduated from 
Stratton High School. She married Terrence Kiefer and they had 4 
children. Grace lived in Burlington, CO, where she was a member of the 
Rebekah Lodge. Grace later married Frank Mahaffey and moved to Goodland,
 KS. Upon Frank’s death in 2006 Grace moved to Colby, KS. She had worked
 as a nursing home CNA and enjoyed playing cards and crocheting in her 
spare time. Grace also loved being around her children and 
grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank; son Eddie Kiefer; grandson Terrence Kiefer; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. 
She is survived by her children, Freddie (Susan) Kiefer, Wellington, CO,
 Tammy (Kenneth) Dennis, Colby, KS and Tonjau (Brian) Brown, Colby, KS; 
sister Orilla Jestes; 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. 
Cremation was chosen and inurnment will take place at Claremont 
Cemetery, Stratton, CO. Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, is handling the
