The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a cold weather advisory for Hays.

The advisory runs from midnight until 10 a.m. on Saturday and covers Ellis, Rush, Russell, Lincoln, Ellsworth and Barton counties.

A slight chance of snow is forecast today, with a high of 28 and a low of -3.

Saturday is expected to be cloudy, with a high of 26 and a low of 15. The weather service said in a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1829FtMvBL/">Facebook post</a> that wind chills could dip to -10 or colder.

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/p/184UV73sBc/">Light snow is also expected tonight in northwest Kansas, with the potential to spread into parts of southwest Kansas.</a>
