16 new cases of COVID-19 in Ellis Co.; percent of positives rises slightly

The Ellis County Health Department on Wednesday reported the average number of new coronavirus cases per day in the last seven days remained flat at five.

There were 16 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County since Monday. There are currently 60 active cases, including five active hospitalizations of Ellis County residents, and 3,338 recovered cases.

The seven-day average of percent of positive tests rose from 7.8 percent on Monday to 8.4 percent on Wednesday.

Since reporting began, there have been 3,448 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 50 coronavirus-related deaths.
