KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fort Hays State senior Cooper Scheck has been named to the men's golf All-MIAA team for a third year in a row, announced Monday by the conference office.
The Dodge City, Kan. native put together an incredibly consistent senior campaign, posting a stroke average of 71.8 across 30 rounds of competition. He turned in a score at-or-under par in 17 of those 30 rounds, including seven rounds in the 60s and a low round of 66.
Scheck won the Hillcat Classic this spring after finishing tied for first at the Newman Invitational in the fall. He completed the season with five top-10 finishes in 10 events and eight finishes in the top 12.
He finished in seventh place in the MIAA designated event point standings, collecting 22.5 points while earning points at three of the four events. Scheck is the first Tiger to earn All-MIAA honors three times and is just the second multiple-time All-MIAA selection.
Scheck's season could potentially continue at the 2026 NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional, set for May 7-9 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich. The full field for that event will be announced on Sunday (April 26).
