⚽ Tigers maintain top position in NCAA Super Region rankings

INDIANAPOLIS - Fort Hays State Men's Soccer maintained the top position in the last release of NCAA Super Region Rankings for the 2025 season, produced on Wednesday. The Tigers enter the GAC/MIAA Tournament at 15-0-3 overall for the season and ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Tigers remain in great position to potentially host games in the NCAA Tournament as the NCAA Selection Show is set for Monday night (Nov. 17) at 6 p.m.

The Tigers are one of three unbeaten teams in Super Region 3, joining Lincoln (10-0-6) ranked second and Cedarville (11-0-7) ranked fifth. Ten teams from the Super Region will be selected to the NCAA Tournament, which begins the week after conference tournaments (Nov. 21 & 23).

Four of the ten teams selected to the Super Region 3 field of the NCAA Tournament will be automatic selections, which includes conference tournament champions from the GAC, GLVC, GMAC, and GLIAC conferences. Fort Hays State hosts the GAC/MIAA Tournament this week after winning the conference regular season title, which will be held Thursday and Saturday (Nov. 13 and 15) at FHSU Soccer Stadium in Hays. Fort Hays State plays Northeastern State in the semifinals at 3 p.m. on Thursday.

According to the Super Region 3 PDF found at the bottom of the region rankings on NCAA.com, Fort Hays State has the top RPI and performance indicator rating by a strong margin, and best in-region and overall record against Division II competition. The Tigers lead the nation in win-loss-tie percentage (.917) and total wins (15).

Joining Fort Hays State from the GAC/MIAA in the latest release of Super Region Region rankings is Rogers State and Northeastern State. Rogers State is ranked third and Northeastern State is ranked tenth.
