ELLIS COUNTY —A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Friday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Terri Lynn Clark Giersch, 22, Lincoln, was eastbound on Interstate 70 five miles east of Hays
The driver of the SUV lost control while passing an eastbound 2019 Peterbilt semi driven by William Richard Jacobs, 54, Hays.
The Explorer spun out in front of the semi. The semi struck the Explorer and the Ford spun out into the ditch
EMS transported Giersch Hays Medical Center. Jacobs was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
