Steven Wayne Hanhardt, 74, Great Bend, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend Campus, Great Bend.
Steven was born May 14, 1950, in Great Bend, the son of Kenneth E. and Delores J. (Michaelis) Hanhardt. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas, and Barton County.
In his early childhood, he was a member of the Baptist Church, Bison.
Steven enjoyed music, especially sing-a-longs. He loved the social activities he experienced through Sunflower Diversified Services, Great Bend.
Survivors include: his mother, Delores J. Hanhardt, La Crosse; his sister, Debra Wilson (Craig), Sedalia, Colo.; a nephew, Cody Wilson, and family, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a niece, Kelly Lambert, and family, Centennial, Colo. Other family members include a cousin, Ron Hanhardt (Juanita), Otis; an aunt, Nathalie Hanhardt, and cousin, Lisa Wabel, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; an aunt, Shirley Roth, LaSalle, Colo.; and an uncle, Larry Michaelis, Salina.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth E. Hanhardt, June 20, 2016.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at a later date at Sunflower Diversified Services, Great Bend.
