Wednesday will bring a dramatic drop in the temperature as a cold front pushes south across western Kansas.
After starting the week with high in the low- to mid-60s, the mercury is expected to plunge starting Wednesday afternoon. A daytime high in the mid-50s will dive nearly 50 degrees to and overnight low of 6, the National Weather Service in Dodge City said.
There is a 30 percent chance of snow or rain before midnight Wednesday, the NWS said.
The chill won't last long, however, as the NWS is predicting highs in the mid-to upper-50s by the weekend.
