Ronald Ray Schenk, 58, died January 2, 2021, at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. He was born July 17, 1962, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Donald D. “Shorty” and Karlene K. (Kraus) Schenk. Ronald grauduated from Great Bend High School.
A Great Bend resident, formerly of Olmitz, Ronald worked as a farm hand. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Olmitz.
He is survived by his mother, Karlene K. Schenk of Ellinwood; twin sister, Sheryl Hickel and husband Jim of Claflin; brothers, Randy Schenk and Larry Schenk of Great Bend; and a nephew, Dylan Hickel of Claflin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Shorty Schenk, and a brother, Darrell Schenk.
A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2021, at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Olmitz. Friends may sign the book now until service at the funeral home. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.
