Salvador Garcia, 87, passed away December 31, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born January 1, 1933, at Abrego, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Manuel & Maria (Ibarra) Garcia. He married Petra Banda in October 1961, at Abrego, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Salvador was a laborer for Acme Iron and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include, his wife, Petra Garcia of the home; his children, Martha Fletcher, Manuel Garcia, Pedro Garcia, Juan A. Garcia, Joaquin Garcia, Maria Ortiz, Salvador Garcia, Jose Alfredo Garcia, and Genevia Garcia; a sister, Maria Barraza; thirty-nine grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Francisco Garcia.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021, with Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore presiding. Interment will be in Great Bend Cemetery North.
