The Ellis County Health Department on Friday announced 47 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county.
There are now 159 active cases, including two active hospitalizations, with 177 recovered cases.
Since reporting began, there have been 337 cases of coronavirus reported in Ellis County, including one death. The seven-day average of positive test results has risen to nearly 23 percent.
More than 150 of the new cases of COVID-19 have been reported since Monday.
