The Hays Larks will open play at the 89th National Baseball Congress World Series on Friday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. against a yet to be determined team from the Jayhawk League.
The Larks received an automatic spot in this years World Series following a runner-up finish a year ago. They are in Pool D along with the GPS (TX) Legends and the Seattle (WA) Blackfins.
The Larks play in the feature game Friday then play again sometime on Sunday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 8.
The top three teams from the four pools advance to the single elimination bracket play which begins on Wednesday, August 9. Each pool winner receives a bye and advances to the quarterfinals on Thursday, August 10.

The Larks close out their regular season with a three-game, non-league series with the North Platte Plainsmen beginning Friday at 7:00 p.m.
