Marcia Ann Stanton, age 82, of Lenora, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born May 6, 1943, in Norton, Kansas, to Leland Lester and Thelma Pearl (Stamey) Dwinell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stanton.
She grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Hill City High School. While living in Grand Island, Nebraska, Marcia and Harold managed a large apartment and townhouse complex for 15 years. She worked at the Lou John’s Clothing Store in Norton, was a CNA at the Andbe Home and was the Director of the Norton Senior Center for several years. Marcia and her significant other, Bruce “Buddy” Bivens have lived in Lenora for the last 19 years.
Marcia is survived by, Bruce “Buddy” Bivens, Lenora, KS; her son, Jon Stanton and Tina, Norton, KS; her step daughters, Rubby Witt and Robby Vidor, TX; Shelley Granger, Orange, TX; Amber morgan and Kevin, Orange, TX; her sister, Carla Collins, Norton, KS; her grandchildren, Akazzia Holman; Brandon Stanton; Kara Stanton; her 9 step-grandchildren, including Lynette Morris and Chase; Matthiew Frakes and Stevinne; and her 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Thelma Dwinell; and her husband, Harold Stanton.
Cremation has been chosen by her family, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
