SHERMAN COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 1p.m. Sunday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Ford F150 driven by Gregory J. Hafemeister, 51, Castle Rock, CO., was eastbound on Interstate 70 ten miles west of Kansas 27.
The driver fell asleep at the wheel and the pickup begin to exit to the right off the interstate.
The driver overcorrected to the left and the pickup rolled into the median.
EMS transported Hafemeister to the hospital in Goodland. A passenger was not injured. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
