M. Mardelle Kenyon, 96, Bison, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
Mardelle was born November 9, 1928, in Marshall, Colorado, the daughter of Fredrick Ernest and Lela Ida (Epler) Callihan. She was a resident of Rush County, Kansas, since 1966, moving there from Holcomb, Kansas. She was a homemaker and X-ray technician before her retirement.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and JOY Club, all of Bison, Kansas.
On October 29, 1950, she married Bruce Harlan Kenyon at Broadway Methodist Church, Denver, Colorado. He preceded her in death May 8, 1997.
Survivors include: four sons, Alan Kenyon (Ronnell), Larned, Kansas, Roger Kenyon (Linda), Otis, Kansas, Warren Kenyon (Shirley), Lucas, Kansas, and Mark Kenyon (Jodi), Augusta, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, Alan Kenyon (Kanoco), Eric Kenyon (Bree), Sean Kenyon (Kara), Ann Kenyon, (Robert Hendrix), Will Kenyon (Aimee), Kara Heller, Holly Kenyon, Tim Stude (Farah), Randy Stude (Mary), Christi Staab, Amanda Adams (Justin), and Brett Kenyon (Kristin); 25 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Jon Callihan; and two sisters, Sherrie Alverson, and Beverly Carlson.
Honoring Mardelle’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to the United Methodist Church, Bison, Kansas.
