Vance Ray Kerksiek, age 55, of Colby, KS, passed away June 21, 2020, in 
North Platte, NE. He was born August 27, 1964, to Leroy and Pauline 
(Daughty) Kerksiek. 
Vance was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort 
Riley, KS, in the Devils Brigade and departed service as a Corporal. 
He met his wife while on a deployment. A friend of his showed him a 
picture of his soon to be wife and they became pen pals and later 
married. 
Vance is survived by his three sons, Daniel, Steven and Cody, who loved 
him and will miss him. He was grandfather to three grandchildren. 
Vance will have his ashes sprinkled at a private location in his home state of Colorado, where he can spend eternity fishing.&nbsp;
