Work has started on a traffic sign replacement project along I-70 in northwest Kansas.

The Kansas Department of Transportation will be replacing mile markers, route markers and other signage on I-70 starting near Ruleton in Sherman County and ending near Dorrance in Russell County. Project work will primarily be constrained to the shoulders, and minimal impacts to traffic are expected.

KDOT estimates the project to be complete by the end of August, weather permitting.

Martin Outdoor Enterprises of Pittsburg is the primary contractor with a total contract cost of approximately $800,000.
