The Eagle Media Center at 2300 Hall received 0.35 inches of rain as of 6 a.m.
Hays has received 0.50 inches of rain in July and a total of 13.23 inches of precipitation this year.
Hays averages 3.33 inches of rain in July and 14.67 total inches of precipitation for the year by the end of July.
The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of 91 today.
Hot temperatures are expected through the holiday weekend with highs near 98 on Friday, 92 on Saturday and the upper 80s on Sunday.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms are forecasted for 7 out of the next 10 days.
