The Gove County Sheriff reported on Facebook a potential jury duty scam.
A caller who identifies themselves as law enforcement is telling people they missed jury duty and are required to pay a fine over the phone, or a warrant will be issued for their arrest, a Gove County Sheriff's post on Facebook said.
Law enforcement will not contact you by phone to demand payment for missed jury duty or threaten to arrest you, the post said.
The sheriff urged residents not to provide personal or financial information over the phone to an unknown caller.
