Hays city commissioners will consider approval of the 2026 street maintenance program during their meeting this afternoon.

The total amount of all recommended bids and other in-house projects&nbsp;is $953,479 to be funded out of Special Highway.

Jesse Rohr, public works director, said the bids came in well under budget, allowing the remaining balance of $135,765 to used for additional work or&nbsp; change orders. A contingency fund of $50,000 is also available.&nbsp;

The projects will be done at various times throughout this year.
