GOVE COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Friday in Gove County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Chevy Colorado driven by Michael L. Decker, 61, Independence, Missouri, was eastbound on Interstate 70 approximately three miles west of Quinter.

The pickup rear-ended a 2019 Ford F250 driven by Angela D. Williams, 57, Florissant, Missouri, who was traveling slow due to the rain and reduced visibility. After impact, the Ford traveled south through the ditch and into a field.

EMS transported Decker and Williams to the Gove County Medical Center. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
