A welcome rain fell yesterday in Hays and continued into this morning.

The official amount measured Monday by the K-State Agricultural Research Center was 1.34 inches, with a light shower continuing at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

So far in March, Hays has received 4.33 inches of moisture, well above the average monthly total of 1.25 inches.

The year-to-date amount of moisture is 5.12 inches, twice the 152-year cumulative average of 2.46 inches by the end of March.

The <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/2e84dadb-4c8e-41dc-9c50-a97b32235fd0">weather forecast</a> calls for continuing rain showers through Wednesday.&nbsp;
