Daniel Kean Mannion

Daniel Kean Mannion was born the 3rd child of 6 on March 26, 1954, to John "Jack" and Joan T. (Tomlin) Mannion in Denver, Colorado.  He passed away at his home in Kensington, KS on April 8th 2022, at the age of 68.

Danny grew up in the Aurora and Denver communities. He attended St. Therese Catholic School in Aurora until attending high school at Hinkley High in Aurora.  Danny loved motorcycles and loved tinkering with just about anything. Danny worked construction jobs in both Colorado and Kansas.  He always was proud to say he helped build the Denver Airport. While in Kansas he worked several years at Lyon Rock Quarry north of Smith Center.  

Danny was united in marriage to Denise A. Lyon in Littleton, Colorado, June 9th 1980. To this marriage were 5 children, Jesse, John, Gina, Melissa, and Jake.  One of Danny's pride and joys were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He couldn't  believe he lived to be a great grandfather.  Along with being a great grandfather he was pleased to have a great grandchild carry on his middle name Kean, Fredrick Paul Kean Massey was due on Danny's birthday but came earlier. 

Danny was preceded in death by his parents John and Joan, his in-laws Elvin "Jiggs" and Charlotte Lyon, Brothers James Mannion, Joseph Mannion, and Sean Mannion, his beloved daughter Melissa J.T. (Mannion) Conaway in 2019 and his beloved wife Denise in 2021 and a son-in-law John Long in 2022.

He is survived by his sister Mary Topping Denver CO, brother Steven Mannion Denver CO, sons Jesse Morgan, John Morgan (Jennifer) and daughter Gina Long all of Smith Center KS, son Jake Mannion (Alexis) of Wichita KS.  Grandchildren, Preston Debolt (Tanya) Downs KS, Becca Favinger (Michael) Hays KS, Taylor Massey (Clifford) Formoso KS, Kaitie Anchutz (Cody) Hays KS, Beau Morgan Smith Center KS, Bayleigh Morgan Mankato KS, Oona Long Smith Center KS, Amber Morgan Smith Center KS, MacKenna and Cort Conaway Athol KS, Cole Morgan Smith Center KS, Brenden and Brie Mannion Wichita KS, and Jaxon and Maddox Mannion Wichita KS.  Great Grandchildren, Autumn Vogan-Debolt, Tyron, and Ember Debolt,  Kathryn and Lucas Favinger,  Fredrick and Charlotte Massey and Samuel Anschutz.

The family has honored Danny's wish of Cremation.  Private Family inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
