Dennis Ward Hutchinson was born March 31, 1946 in Logan, Kansas and passed away October 24, 2026, in Hill City, Kansas at the age of 80. He was born to Leland Glenn Hutchinson and Marjorie (Smith) Hutchinson. Dennis attended grade school in Logan and graduated from Hill City High School in 1964. From 1966 to 1969, during the Vietnam War, Dennis served in the Navy while his brother Wayne was serving in the Army.
Dennis and Linda Goff were married in 1972, they later divorced. To this union, a son, Leland Glen Hutchinson, was born in 1973. Sadly, Leland passed away in 2023.
Dennis loved his Harley motorcycle and made trips to Sturgis, South Dakota, and Colorado when he could. In his later years he enjoyed being a “socialite” at Cameron’s Corner.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Glenda Mindrup; a brother Wayne Hutchinson; and his son Leland. Surviving him are three nieces and a nephew, as well as many cousins and other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Stinemetz Funeral Home, 522 N. Pomeroy, Hill City, Kansas. A Military Graveside Service will be held immediately after the service at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated to Graham County EMS, in care of Stinemetz Funeral Home.
