Maureen Helen Brown, age 67, of Weskan, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.
Maureen was born September 22, 1954, to William and Marion (Hidock) Watkins in Binghamton, New York. She grew up and attended school in New York graduating in 1972. When Maureen was 19 her family moved to Oakley, Kansas. On August 20, 1976, she married William D. Brown in Colby, to this union they had two children, Chris and Kelly. Maureen worked as a CMA/CNA for several years. She was a member of the Weskan Bible Church and attended many church activities. She enjoyed cheering on the Denver Broncos, reading, crossword puzzles, and dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Kelly Box; and grandson, James Guay.
Maureen is survived by her husband; son, Chris (Karren Taylor) Brown of Wallace, KS; son-in-law, Rodney Box of Sharon Springs, KS; 7 grandchildren: Emma Brown, Zackary Box, Briann Box, Nevaeh Brown, Bradley Brown, Jaylinn Brown and Jasmine Brown; 2 great grandchildren, Joey Guay and Kelly Stone; and many more family and friends.
