TRIBUNE, Kan. – The Quinter boys won the Greeley County 1A Regional track meet Friday. The Bulldogs scored 114 points, 39 better than second place Ingalls. Bradley Bogert won three individual events, the 200 meters (22.74), 400 meters (49.64) and 110 hurdles (15.33). Trace Kinderknecht won the 100 meters (11.08) and was third in 400 meters (53.32). Quinter also won the 4x400 meter relay and placed third in the 4x100. Hans Deaton placed third in the 3200 meters (10:50.10) and was fourth in the 1600 meters (4:52.42). Lakin Getz won the javelin (169-0) and finished third in the discus (144-4). Dashiell Brown placed third in the shot put (49-9.25).
Mia Briggs qualified in four events for the Quinter girls. She won the pole vault (11-1), placed second in both the 100 (16.21) and 300 (49.39) hurdles and was fourth in the high jump (5-0). Brooklyn Countryman finished third in the 3200 meters (13:12.72). The Bulldogs 4x800 relay team placed fourth (10:34.12).
Victoria qualified three for state. Macy Hammerschmidt and Landon Schmidtberger both made it in two events. Hammerschmidt won the long jump (17-4.25) and finished second in the 100 meters (12.86). Schmidtberger finished third in the triple jump (40-5) and was fourth in the long jump (19-9.5). Ethan VonLintel placed fourth in the 400 meters (53.53).
The LaCrosse girls qualified three individuals and two relays. Brennen Steinert placed third in the 100 hurdles (16.22), Clara Thielenhaus was fourth in the 800 meters (2:35.29) and Lillian McGaughey was fourth in the javelin (111-1). The 4x100 relay (52.08) and the 4x400 relay (4:17.72) both finished second. Triston Nelson placed third for the Leopard boys in the 1600 meters (4:52.36), Tristan Wilhelm won the 100 and 400 meter wheelchair race and the 4x800 relay team was second (8:51.74).
Palco qualified three for state. Ethan Gaschler was second in the shot put (50-2.5) and fourth in the discus (140-8) while Abi Eickleberry finished fourth in the discus (101-1).
