The Hays Lions Club with assistance from the&nbsp;Kansas Lions Sight Foundation made a donation of $10,000 to the Hays ARC Park.

The $10,000 check was presented at the Arc of the Central Plains board meeting in July by Tom and Diana Baumann, Lions district governors, and Gene Stramel, president of the Hays Lions Club.

Construction is nearing completion on both a handicap-accessible playground and splash pad at Seven Hills Park at 33rd and Hillcrest Drive.

Fundraising continues for an accessible ball field at the same site.
