
Nancy Ann Long, 66, died Friday, January 1, 2021, in Sioux Falls, South
Dakota. She was born July 23, 1954, in Dodge City, Kansas the daughter
of Edward & Martha (Marquardt) Frank.
Nancy lived in Liberal, Kansas, with her family where she attended
Liberal schools. After the 8th grade, they moved to Garden City where
Nancy attended high school and graduated from Garden City High School in
1972. On June 9, 1973, she married Randy Carroll in Garden City,
Kansas. Randy died on June 19, 1999. Nancy later married Brian D. Long
on May 5, 2012. They continued to live in Garden City until 2014.
Since 2014, they have lived in both Garden City and Platte, South
Dakota. Nancy worked most of her life as a bookkeeper for various
companies in Garden City. Nancy loved the outdoors, fishing, and going
shopping with her daughter.
Survivors include her husband Brian D. Long of the home; three
children Jason Carroll, Bradley & wife Kelly Carroll, and Jennifer
Carroll all of Platte, South Dakota; three step-children Tina M. &
husband John Brouder of St. Peters, Missouri, Shelly Long of St. Peters,
Missouri, and Tim & wife Tiffany Long of Garden City, Kansas; her
mother Martha Frank of Chandler, Arizona; two brothers Mike & wife
Karen Frank of Chandler, Arizona and Tim Frank of Ness City, Kansas; ten
grandchildren; and four great-grandchidlren. Nancy is preceded in
death by her first husband Randy; her father Edward Frank; and a
daughter-in-law Tracy Frank.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22,
2021 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. Warren Stecklein
officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given
to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
