PHILLIPSBURG – The TMP-Marian boys golf team tied with Norton with a team score of 327 at Tuesday’s Mel Schremmer Invitational at the Phillipsburg Golf Club but the Monarchs finished second by tiebreaker.
The Monarchs placed three in the top-10 led by Chase Drennon who won the individual title with an 8-over-par 76. Mason Rozean finished fourth with an 80 and Kolby Olmstead eighth with an 82.
Plainville’s Easton Ditter tied with Phillipsburg’s Mason Laurin both had rounds of 79. Ditter placed second by tiebreaker.
The Monarchs will be in Marion for Sub-State on Monday.
