Residents at Ascension Living Via Christi Village in Hays drank milkshakes and danced to Sinatra during their annual senior prom on Friday.
Members of the Wonder Women League visited the center Friday morning to help the ladies apply makeup, pick out outfits and do their hair.
The seniors talked about their own high school proms or their children or grandchildren.

This year's theme was sock hop. Staff dressed in poodle skirts danced and waltzes and polkas with the residents.
Even those in wheelchairs ventured out onto the dance floor and clapped their hands and tapped their feet as staff members spun them around—the words for those classic melodies on their lips.

The long-term care and assisted living sections both elected a prom kings and queens, which included crowns, sashes and featured dance.
Laughter and smiles abounded—smiles that you could actually see—as the long-standing mask restrictions were just lifted Friday at the facility.
The center has asked that the Hays Post not post the residents' names.
