Intermittent showers Tuesday resulted in 0.27 inches of rain — and more is on the way.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City is predicting showers and thunderstorms from Wednesday night through Saturday night in the Hays area.
Chance of showers or thunderstorms range from 20 percent to 60 percent for the remainder of the week — and between 1 and 3 inches of total rain is possible in the Hays area. Skies are expected to clear Sunday.
The cooler weather is also expected to linger, with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s expected Thursday through Saturday.
