Area residents selected to serve on Kansas Chamber board

TOPEKA - The Kansas Chamber Board of Directors on Tuesday announced it elected three new members and approved one replacement at its first quarter meeting last week. 

“The Chamber Board of Directors is responsible for setting policy priorities and future direction,” said Chamber President and CEO Alan Cobb. "It’s important for them to reflect the diversity of the Kansas business community so the Chamber is well-informed about their operational challenges and growth opportunities. We appreciate the willingness of the new members to work on behalf of all Kansas businesses.”

Elected to their first three-year term are:

  1. James Brungardt, Sunflower Electric Power Corp, Hays
  2. Nick Strecker, INA Alert, Inc., Ellinwood
  3. Patrick Gideon, Silver Lake Bank, Topeka

 Change of member on the board: 

  1.  Patrick Woods, ITC Great Plains
