USD 388 Ellis will host the first of three candidates for the school superintendent position today.

Anita Scheve, principal at Wilson Elementary School in Hays, will interview today.

She is in her sixth year in that position. Previously, she served as the Hays USD 489 director of alternative programs for six years.

Candidates were selected for interviews based on their fit with desired characteristics that were developed with input from focus groups and an online survey used during the search process, according to the Ellis schools website.

Candidates will also be interviewed in Ellis Wednesday and Thursday.
